It’s the first day of December. Left home at 7.15am to catch the bus that will normally reached the bus stop at about 7.25am. This is my daily routine if my services are required to conduct training in one of the Education Centres in Singapore. Yeah, I am entrusted to train adults of various backgrounds, industries, positions, etc. to use and apply Microsoft Office Applications i.e. Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook of different versions. I was hired as an Associate Trainer by the Centre. By the way, since I love to train people, there are no difference when conducting training between the Network Marketing and IT industries. It’s still about people, understand their character, behaviour and attitude towards the training & trainers. If we are called a Business Consultant in Network Marketing industries where we teach people how to do the business correctly that will leads to a successful life in the future, in the IT Industries, we are called It Trainer majoring in our specialization.
Again it’s all about educating people. One thing for sure, as a trainer, we have to be patient, tactful, and understand the needs of every people who attended the training. We must always be excited daily, to get trainees attention in the topics that we are delivering. One thing for sure, trainer could not please everyone…and this is one of the reasons why trainers are exposed to vulnerability such as complaints, etc.
I was a trainer since my time in the Hotel Industries. Experiences have taught me to respect people and share your experiences with others. It’s still a long way for me, and everyday I’m learning new things, day in day out. Passion and love for whatever you do are a must to keep you motivated, and gaining confident in facing the demands of people surrounding you….
