Live Your Live Each Day As You Would Climb A Mountain

I’m back in Singapore on Tuesday, 14 April. It was one of my toughest trip so far, even though I’ve been to Mount Tahan before. For the record, this was my 5th trip. During the 4D/3N in the tropical jungle of West Malaysia, all the 8 climbers (including me) experienced all weather climates and terrains; hot, raining, windy, cold, etc.

Except myself, all the other climbers in the group were not expecting that this expedition to be so tough and demanding. It was on the second day of climb that some of us actually wanted to give up as we had been walking and ascending the mountains up and down for more than 12 hours to Bukit Botak Campsite. On the 3rd day, it took us between 9 to 12 hours to reach the Kem Kor Campsite.

However, the desire to complete the expedition, the mental strength of every climbers, the never-say-die attitude of Team Santai, the spirit of teamwork and the sense of responsibility to realize our big dreams, we reached the summit of Mount Tahan; standing at 2187M above sea-level; and made it back in one-piece on 13 April. It was an unforgettable journey.

Once you set your mind to be a Network Marketer, you are indeed setting a goal to be successful. You are to plan your way up, and visualize what you want to achieve. You must be mentally prepared to sail across the ocean or walk across the mountains that filled with obstacles and dream stealers. Overcome them by taking actions and stay focus.

Teamwork is one of the most important factors in achieving success in the industry. Keep the spirit alive, be responsible and must have the passion and desire to succeed. You must dare to dream big and able to bounce back from failures. Think big, with positive attitude to attract and grow rich.

There are no different between a mountain climber and a network marketer. Both have the same objectives to be successful and be at the top sharing the same dreams. The word give up is not in their dictionary; and they will continue to do it, as long as they are alive, healthy and still alive!

Is It A Friend Or Foe?

telephoneIf everything runs as planned, I should have reached the summit yesterday! Anyway, for the real pictures of it, I will share with you once I’m back in Singapore, most probably on this coming Tuesday. If I can use my mobile phone to keep in touch with you, I would have done so. Anyway, let the technology do the work for me at this moment.

Talking about using a telephone, many of us cannot decide whether the telephone is a good or bad tool to have. Can this little equipment really help us? Or can we create miracles without picking it up? Very few people actually realize the potential of having a telephone. When you talk to someone in person, normally they judge you based on the following five areas:

  1. What do you look like?
  2. What have you done?
  3. How did you do it?
  4. What did you say?
  5. How did you say it?

In other words, you are receiving an evaluation. You must know that your potential consumers is comparing you with other people who is also putting efforts on him. Now do you realize that when your consumers are talking to you by phone, they only judge you on two areas:IS171-032

  1. What did you say?
  2. How did you say it?

The level of trust between you and your customer should rise when the conversation finishes. Your potential customer cannot see you and your eyes, thus they cannot judge you in any ways except by the content delivered by the phone. You should think about this carefully, work hard on it. As a result, you will ‘love the phone’.

Helping Others To Become Successful Is Our Duty As A Network Marketer

I’m now in West Malaysia (day 2) climbing the highest mountain, Gunung Tahan standing at 2187 meters above sea-level. I don’t want to miss feeding you with the information you need to start your career as a Network Marketer. In fact, this is the right time to be involved in the industry; forget about the economic crisis, whatsoever.

Two days ago, I showed you some simple ways on how to produce a name list right? Network marketing is a ‘people’ business. So, help them. This is our duty.

When you can see that network marketing can be a career, you passion gradually grow and becomes stronger as time goes by. You will definitely will like to share this with all the people. Welcome to the network marketing lifestyle. As a network marketer, sharing an opportunity as a career is our nature.

k1657820 When you want your business to grow and become stronger, you should start to get to know strangers. This way, you can add hundreds of consumers into your name list.

Remember, they will appreciate you in the future! What you need to do now is write down some names in detail. Here are some examples that you can do.

  1. People in your life such as your family members, relatives, family doctors, your association members, your insurance agents, etc….
  2. People who sells you something such as your house, your car or motorcycle, computers, namecards, home entertainment system, furniture, and not to forget the network marketing products – Yes the network marketing distributors themselves….
  3. Who else that you know such as your neighbours, your barber or beautician, your working colleagues, your children’s teachers or tutors, your spouse’s colleagues or anyone that you have contact with whether directly or indirectly….
  4. Somebody whom you know who is a student, models, teachers, doctors, reporters, and the list go on and on and on ……

Frankly, your list will not be exhausted unless you are the only person leaving in this planet!

How To Produce A Name List

Yesterday, I blogged about the two main aspects for you to succeed in your network marketing business. I did talk about producing a name list.

How and what to look for when you want to create a list?

Look for people or prospect with good image and a positive attitude (going to do the business) as well as those respected people, those with big dreams, and those who have the same caliber as you or higher than you.

Base on my personal experience, the more successful a person, the faster it is for him to see the potential of this business. However, this is only a guideline.

k1384857 In network marketing, do remember that you are helping people by giving them a global business franchise opportunity. You are creating a chance for them to gain financial independence and to realize their dreams. Please, never prejudge or assume a person, especially those with little achievements. When you think that they will not be interested, you are in fact making decision for others. By doing that, you are taking away the great chance of offering an opportunity to them. Just bear in mind that your prospects must decide for themselves.

Your objective to share your opportunity with others is fulfilled. Your prospects will never say that you did not give them the chance to know the opportunity. In fact, some of them will thank you for their whole life. Pre-determining a person is not a good practice in network marketing industry as it can cause a great loss of a valuable network marketer forever.

When you want to produce a list, do consider the following people:

  1. Friends
  2. Neighbours
  3. Relatives
  4. People with religions
  5. Colleagues & ex-colleagues
  6. Club, Association Members
  7. Names on any greeting, invitation cards
  8. Ex-school and class mates
  9. Anyone you respect even though you do not know them well; as they might also want to lead a better lifek1587687

Once you’ve discussed with your uplines on your name list, start making phone calls or send them emails. However, if you want to start by sending emails, call them after a week if there’s no reply. One of the lesson I learnt was your prospects want to interact with you live rather than an email. Remember, this list is not a cold list! You know your prospects; except that you might have not been calling them all these years and suddenly they are being contacted!

For those people whom you have not been contacting for quite sometimes, you have to do some ‘patching-up’ on the relationship. Try not to talk about the business opportunity first. Starts with topics such as family, work, activities, hobbies, etc. Everyone has needs; be it a need to succeed or a need to achieve. You can expand your initial interaction by touching on their needs before getting on your objective.

A man who can be trusted can usually progress faster in the network marketing business. Look for agile and successful people that you can find to share your opportunity. Remember, the list will never be exhausted as long as you know who do you know to help them to become successful, unleashing their potential and to achieve their dreams.

How To Become A Successful Network Marketer

The biggest benefit of network marketing business is that you can earn a handsome profit with little startup cost. In fact, this is a profitable and stable business if you have been doing it for more than 5 years. Depending on how you execute the business, some of the marketers can see the money coming in as fast as 6 months. But again, having a long term mindset in building-up your downlines is most preferred than earning fast money through selling products. However, if you can really sell, then just do it.

The entire business concept has two main aspects; one is building up a retailing business and the other is building up a business system.  A good network marketing system will guide you through on the know-how to start your business. Remember, your sponsor, uplines or system leaders are always available to help you. What you must do is open-up your mouth and ask. If you don’t ask question, you will be wasting your time.

k0418755 To start the business, prepare two sets of name lists, one for business partners and another for your consumers’ market. This is very important so as to minimise how you are going to approach or invite your prospects. Remember, name lists are also effective when you’re marketing online through email. That’s why collecting email addresses are also very important to network marketers.

In view of building up a network marketing system, let me share with you a few simple steps so that you can start moving on your business.

Firstly, when you are ready to do a traditional prospecting, try your best to invite your most hardworking, enthusiastic and energetic prospect. It can be your family members, your friends, your colleagues, or anyone whom you think fits the above. Bring your prospects to attend the system’s organized gathering for new prospects, to your house or any suitable location, and introduce the business to them.

For your potential consumers, you must also try your best to invite them to the first and second system’s gatherings where your sponsor and uplines will spend a lot of time to present the plan.

Secondly, you must be present and listen to the plan for the first few times, take all the necessary notes and record down all the important points of the plan. This is the only way you can learn how to do it; in other words, you are learning how to duplicate.

Thirdly, this is your own business franchise. You must be responsible for your own business. You are going to be presenting the plan by yourself in the future. Try to learn fast and be independent. Don’t rely too much on your uplines as he or she can also be someone else uplines. How you do it will reflect how you will handle your own downlines. Remember, to be successful in the business, you must build your downlines (business partners) and leverage.

Fourth, start presenting the plan to small groups. Do it for the new distributors and people entering the business – the power of duplication.

Pertaining to building up the retailing business, these are some simple steps to share.

Firstly, do have a “mobile shop” to showcase your products. Secondly, gradually replace all the existing products in your house with your own products. Thirdly, start building a group of 15 to 20 important customers for your own retail sales. Finally, try to expand by developing retailing referrals recommended by others, to enlarge your own retail business.

You can see that the key to building up a network marketing system is to present the business to others. Since the people recommended by you determine the success of your organizations, you should be introducing your business to people you respect, people with ambitions, people with high responsibility and people whom you can get along with.

Rejections – Is it Good or Bad?

As I mentioned in my earlier posts, any person from all walks-of-life, can be involved in network marketing if he or she has the passion to do it. There is no specific qualifications needed to join the industry. The most important is you are willing to learn, unlearn and relearn.

Now, some of the problems faced by the new marketers are they either tend to be very selective when prospecting or simply sponsored any Tom, Dick and Harry into the business. Sometimes, they unnecessary make too many assumptions on the prospects, and always feel demoralised when they are rejected. If you want to succeed in this industry, you should be able to eliminate all this negative habits and change your mindset. If you carry-on doing this, you’re going to fail.

Please be moderate when selecting a prospect. The best advise I can give you is to recruit only “good” people and help them in the business. You’re obviously right? Good people will grow the business exponentially in all aspects of life. However, as a human being, you cannot predict if the person you are sponsoring is a “good” one or otherwise. It may be “good” to you but not “good” to others. So, you’ve to decide who you want to help. Believe in yourself and judgement.

The best method to know whether your prospect want to do the business is to bring him to attend your system’s meeting and training. Observe his attentiveness. You can then decide whether he’s into the business or just as your products’ user. It will save you all the unnecessary assumptions to determine whether your prospect is genuine or not.

Rejection is something that cannot be completely eliminated in life even if you are not a network marketer. It happens everyday without you realizing it especially when it involved your love ones. It also happens when you’re marketing online; only that you won’t feel dejected because you do not meet your prospects. In fact, the rate of rejections from online marketing is greater than the traditional way of marketing.

But why do we feel so demoralised when we are rejected after the prospecting? When two people interact or talk with each other, both feelings are being ‘touched’. Now bear in mind that another two invisible persons are with you at that moment, either to support or steal your dreams away. My advise is whenever you are meeting your prospect, manage your presentation well. Remember your objective.

Check and focus on their needs, not all the long unnecessary stories or irrelevant things. Do not spend more than 1 hour. Always be confident. If you’re still being rejected after the meeting, you won’t be hurt so much. In fact, treat rejections as another method to improve your presentation. Remember the 3 SWs; some will, some won’t, so what, next! Do not be so personal….you can only do that if your prospect has decided not to ‘hurt’ himself/herself any longer.

The more rejections I faced, the more things I learnt, and my believe in network marketing is far more stronger than before. You need to experience and fight it by improving your own personal development. Remember, the only person who can motivate you in network marketing business is YOU. The system and your uplines can only provide you with the positive environment and tools to handle rejections.

It’s you who manage it.
