Imagine A Network Marketing System Without Duplication?

Network Marketing is passed on by word of mouth from one person to another. If you are marketing a bad product in nature, getting your products known by this method would never last more than one time and your business will never survive.

However, since network marketing is a ‘people business’, it allows a quick duplication from one to two, four, six, tens, hundreds or even thousands. You could not established a fixed experience level for each person – your downlines; and method of doing it – the know how – needed also varies as well.

As such, system also entails further human problems since there are so many individuals are involved in it. Problems could arise within the network marketing system itself.

In a nutshell, if the duplications of system are not properly created throughout the system, many other potential hazards could occur, even to the extend of collapsing the company. This could be seen in the many examples of network marketing or direct selling companies where they were forced to close down for no obvious reasons. That’s why if an organization does not practice duplication, it will definitely bring about disparity and disarray.

The challenge in network marketing is not about achieving a pin title or rank, but rather, in protecting the system in ensuring proper duplication and building a solid and strong global organization. In other word, the most important factor in a system is DUPLICATION; and it should be 100% duplication. It’s indeed the buzzword among network marketers, but surprisingly it always deviates by the time it reaches the 3rd or 4th generations of your organization.

But why this is happening. Everyone in an organization has his or her own fixed set of thinking and opinions. Although some are eloquent and possess persuasiveness in networking capabilities, this is not the right spirit of network marketing.

In my previous blog, I’ve mentioned that network marketing’s original idea or objective is to provide an opportunity for those with no money to invest in a business or shop space; those who live in remote areas and those who are willing to put in hard work, to gain the right knowledge -method or know-how in network marketing and prove themselves in this arena. As such, there is no requirement for individual charisma, etc.

Many network marketing organizations depend upon one ‘great speaker’ or ‘smooth talker’ to hold the organization together, but these will not work in the long run. The ‘speaker’ will ‘die’ too. How many smooth talkers are there in the world?

A complete system must be created taking duplication as the most important factor. With the presence of duplication, an organization is build within a team like an organized uniform groups. This is what we call the ‘people business’, where honesty, being down-to-earth, diligence and discipline are the core values.

This is normal in network marketing. When you are sharing an opportunity to your prospect, you must be aware that your prospect’s level of understanding differs. They have all the right to misunderstand what you’re explaining. It’s up to you to go that extra mile to ensure that your prospect have the right perception. The first meeting with your prospect is the most important. It’s either a break through or gone forever.

We are learning everyday. So, ask questions if you don’t understand. It will help you to develop listening skills. Be clear of what you understand as it’s either you or your prospect will misinterpret the truth.

The fact is humans are not perfect.

Network marketing is not about earning extra money to supplement your income. It is a personal franchise, a global business that spreads all over the world depending on what company or products you’ve chosen to be your platform. It is an opportunity that can drive a person’s potential to the fullest. How?

Everyone has to work to earn money.  Earning money is basically done by two methods; you either do a business or working for someone else drawing a monthly fixed salary. Salary workers make up about 80% to 90% of the working population. To become a businessman, you require much experience.

You probably know that if you go to the street looking up the offices, you will notice that companies that operate and survive for 10 or more years are the minority. The number get much fewer for those companies that survive the 20 years mark or more. So, base on an average take home salary for a graduate, it would be very difficult for them to own a house or a car.

This is different form doing traditional business because executing network marketing business becomes more easier to handle as the business growth as compared to the traditional business where it gets difficult to expand and operate with the impending growth of the business.

Network marketing is a formula for distributing products that differs from the traditional method of selling goods where the products are distributed from the producer, to the distributor, to the retailer and finally to the user. Network marketing however eliminates all the middlemen. It enables you to reap all the reward. Of course, the most important thing is that you should fund a reputable and reliable direct selling or network marketing company that can survive in the long run.  Nowadays, getting the desired company is so much easier with the availability of the Internet. Furthermore, these companies has setup their own online presence and system to get their information out.

What you probably doesn’t know that some network marketing companies actually market their products online and are members of the World Direct Selling Association or registered locally in their own countries.

Network Marketing Needs A Proven System To Succeed. Do You Agree?

Network marketing has been in operation in the United States of America for almost 50 years and has spread to many countries all over the world. The biggest network marketing company, sharing the history with the USA is none other than Amway Corporation. Even though I’m not a distributor of Amway, I cannot denied the fact that they are the biggest and the oldest direct selling company in the world.

Network marketing is very different from traditional sales. Traditional sales focus on reaching the required sales volume of a product which could be attained by giving incentives or promotions. However, network marketing is a “people business”, focusing on the growth of an organization of distributors but not the products.

ISerg090100040 Network marketing originates from a single person and spreads to three or five persons and eventually it could grow to tens, hundreds, thousands or even million of individuals.  Every individual comes from different educational background and working experience. They are exposed to different social levels and circles. Hence, ‘Duplication‘ is a very important factor in uniting these individual in an organization. In other words, you must know the ‘know-how‘ to duplicate.

Imagine you have a good proven system that is both simple and effective; and this system could provide those who believe in it, to follow and use it to operate in a simple and effective way in achieving his/her goals! Will you love this system?

To most people, the ‘duplication’ theory means creating a downline that is an exact copy of the upline. This is a wrong concept. The main hurdle is the fact that a person is subjective by nature and this will indirectly hinder the proper duplication in the development and running the operation of the ‘people business’. The person is greatly affected by his/her experiences and the methods of executing the business, and as such, it has been interestingly observed that this person or distributor will tend to deviate from the duplication process. The methodology of the system becomes distorted by the time it is spread down to several levels of the system.

A good example of the above is a game that is often played in a team building exercise on communication and listening skill. It’s about passing of instruction or information from the first person (the one who give the information) to the other person (the receiver); and this person will in turn passes the same information to another person (another receiver). By the time this information reaches the last person (it could be 10 to even 30 people), the information is totally distorted.

We can see that the level of distortion involved in the duplication process is such that when it reaches the deeper recesses of the entire system, the supposedly ‘duplicate’ is no longer an exact copy of the originator. This is the most difficult part of the whole duplication process; how to ensure that the exact copies of the original system right down to the last detail, is passed over to the last person in the system intact.

Take McDonalds or 7-eleven for example. How did they earn money? They succeed by creating duplicates or exact copies of their restaurants or shops.

Selling products, encouraging your downlines and producing selling volumes are not the problems, relying on your hard work and persistency are key to success in this business. However, to create and develop a system consisting of hundreds and millions of successful individuals and to function effectively, is not easy. The difficultly you are going to face is the management required of such a large organization.

Therefore, the system has to undergo some form of evolution. In order to do so, you have to accumulate practical experience and continuously correcting for mistakes throughout its formation years before it could be established as a viable system.

If you can’t do that then you have to look for a ready effective proven system, and duplicate the process in order for you to succeed in network marketing industry.

Why I Chose To Do Network Marketing Business

 

bld136674 Network Marketing industry has been around for years. Whether you like it or not, it will continue to grow and be apart of our lives even though you do not choose to become one.

Those who involved in this industry, whether as a part-time or full-time, will know that some will succeed, some won’t; but the truth is many has chosen to do it for a living either offline or online. These people have different reasons and values on why they choose to do Network Marketing. The world is changing rapidly! Security, freedom, wealth are some of the reasons, but the list never end here.

What I see in network marketing is an opportunity to build a personal business franchise that could change your family lifestyle and the dreams that you shared. It really takes all the courage to make the decision because it will determine your future.

Having chosen this industry, you have to select a platform that will support your business. This is where you have to do some homework and research for the right company and products as your desired platform.

After selecting your platform, you must have a proper system on how to run network marketing as a business rather than just selling a product. Brand yourself as an expert. Be a leader, you will attract followers as your downlines.

I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to apply one of the successful and powerful offline and online system in executing my network marketing business. This system has made me what I am today. Do not reinvent the wheel. Get the right system and duplicate it 100%.

In this business, there is only one people that you have to convince; and that is YOU! Most people never make it because they procrastinate, even though a good opportunity is presented to them. If you want to make a decision, you have to do it now because tomorrow will never come, tomorrow begins today, tomorrow started yesterday.

You must be very sure of the decision you made in choosing network marketing industry. You must have faith in the company or products that you’ve chosen. You have to position yourself in the right environment which is the system that can make you successful. You must be clear of what you choose to do in realizing your dreams.

Show Your Professionalism as a Network Marketer

I was sitting at McDonald having a cup of coffee while waiting for my wife to finish her course. There was a middle-aged couple sitting on the next table. Ten minutes later, came another couple in their 30s joining them carrying a suitcase. I named the first couple as couple A and the other couple B for easy reference.

Couple B apologised to couple A for being late; reason was they were caught in a traffic jam on their way to park their motorcar. Both couples introduced themselves to each other. It seems that couple A have not been meeting couple B for quite sometimes judging from their conversation. They exchanged namecards too.

By the way, the table where I’m seated was just a feet away from their table and I was actually facing them. Whatever transpired between them, can easily be heard by other people from other tables.

Couple B were Network Marketers in one of a leading MLM companies. Their attires were not so presentable. The man put on a colourful T-shirt and a tailored pant, while the female counterpart was wearing a T-shirt, jeans.

They were trying to sell a health products to couple A – their prospect. The presentation was done on a laptop focusing on the benefits of the products. Couple A just listened attentively without saying a word. Both of them just nodded their head as though they understood and agreed to the presentation. They did asked the prices but nothing was closed.

After about an hour, couple B excused themselves as they were going to attend a wedding invitation. This was what I heard. Once couple B left, the female counterpart was telling her partner that they were wasting their time by talking to couple A. She even sarcastically told him that his ‘friend’ might not afford to even buy the products; what more to join the business!

Now, what can we learnt from this episode. Judging from this, I noted few unbecoming that should not be done by network marketers.

You should not be late for any appointment. If you gonna be late, then inform your prospect by any means. We are leaving in a technology world where communication tools are readily available.

When you meet a prospect, first impression counts. Dress professionally or presentable. Your prospect judge you by your dressing if you are going to present million dollars opportunity or products.

You should not be talking about the products. Chat with them in an informal approach. Identify their needs and what they want. Get to know them first.

Presentation should be a two-way. You must get your prospect to be involved. Don’t just keep on explaining. Nodding head doesn’t mean your prospect understand and agree what you presented.

Do not presume anything about your prospect. You will never know that one day he or she will be your eagle in your organization.

If you are new to the business, then ask you uplines to help you. They will be ever ready to assist you.

You must have a system to follow. If it works, then duplicate 100%.

If you have the characters and attitude of the so called female ‘marketer’, you are not doing any good to the network marketing industry. You can never last long and can never succeed.

I may be biased with my assumption on them. It’s up to you to decide.

Network Marketing is about human relation. If you cannot approach your prospect in the traditional offline method because of rejections, then embark on the online ways of prospecting. However, do the first thing first; change your attitude and develop your personal characters. Change your habits, change your mindset.
