The Four Enemies Of Network Marketers

There are basically four(4) enemies that I could think of, that will determine whether you will succeed in the MLM or Network Marketing business or not

The first is REJECTION. People will say no. That No is not personal. You must always remind yourself daily that prospecting is a business, not personal. Here are a couple of suggestions that you can take when you face rejections.

  • Imagine that you are a flight stewardess. You will go from person to person asking if they want coffee. After hearing NO several times, would you jump out of the plane? Right. You would just keep on asking, row after row to the last one. No only means, “No, not now.”  It is important to understand people and their moods. Do you think is possible when you call up someone to show the opportunity – and and that very moment your prospects are having a bad day? You have to be persistent, but not overbearing. The time will come when your great prospect will be interested with the products and business.
  • Another way to look at rejection is “by the numbers.” You should have a ratio. Example – sponsor 1 for every 10 people you talk, so the ratio is (1:10), and the list go on. No one in this business has a perfect ratio. So if you can get one signed up out of 10, you are likely to succeed. So know your ratio and learnt to improve it.
  • Know your targets and plan for it. If you really need to have a minimum 200 people to succeed (use any tools you wish including the online methods), so be it.
  • Always remember the 3 SWs (some will, some won’t, so what? Next please).

The second is APATHY (LAZINESS). Laziness comes in two forms – Your own and other people (downlines). This is your business. You have to work hard, harder and hardest to build the business. Find good people and sponsor them in. Find those who are willing to work hard for themselves. People with passion and want to change their lives. If you have distributors who don’t want to work and follow, let them be. You have all the right to choose who you work with.

The third enemy is ATTRITION. Somehow, people will quit. Why? Only they have the answer. But things happen! Don’t blame the business. When someone quits, thank them in your mind for the time and move on. Just do not be one of them. Don’t think so much. Just focus on how to do it better than what you are currently doing.

A Theory Of Single Decision

Every single marketer faces a moment when they have to make a decision whether they are going to do the business or not. I’m not implying about signing up and purchasing products or attending meetings or seminar, I’m taking about making a solid decision to build the business, be successful, and go the distance.

One of the principles that I’ve been holding on tightly is the single decision theory. In 2007, I made up my mind to quit my full-time job to go into business. I was holding a good post as an IT Manager, but the drive not to work for other people was very strong. I knew that once I’ve decided to leave, I will never looked back. It was one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever made in my life.

As a network marketer, you have to decide what your goals of the business. You can get up every morning and decide to be involved in the business today, or, you can once and for all, make a decision that you will never have to think about it again. Go as far in the business as you can possibly go. You do not have to worry about quitting because you have already decided not to quit.

But once you have that decision sealed, you must know what to expect; you must know what to do; you must know how to do and solve it. Every network marketers have undergone and faced the same obstacles. These obstacles will always be attracted to you, as network marketing is about people, the building of peoples network.

If you know what are the barriers to entry are, you are more likely to succeed. These are the enemies of network marketers.

The World has changed a lot! Twenty years ago, the use of timecards was a must for every employers to track their employees. Now, electronic cards are used everywhere globally for every single thing.

From a physical world to a virtual world where technology plays an important role in the current and future years to come. The power of the Internet which connected the world globally are a must for every household since its introduction to the world in the early 90s.

The virtual company – Yahoo, Google, Facebook, Youtube (to name a few) – has beaten all the physical company in terms of products sales and service.

Choosing A Legitimate Direct Selling Company As Your Business Platform

Direct Selling is a legitimate, established and proven business model. Globally, it is a US$114 billion industry with more than 62 millions independent distributors where half of it came from Asia.

Choosing a legitimate direct selling company is very important if you are planned a long term business  mindset. There is a big different between a legitimate one and a pyramid scheme. Both practiced Multi-level marketing and using the power of net.work marketing to leverage the business. How do you identify? You probably knows it. How?

Direct Selling companies can either be globally or locally owned. An established company is one that is a corporate member of the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations or at least holding a membership locally.

A typical direct selling company should have their own products and compensation plan for the distributors. The products shall have a return policy. The company and distributor have to provide after sales support and inquiry from prospective customers. The investment is also small and affordable to all.

Some of the biggest di.rect selling are Amway, Nuskin, Herbalife, Success University, etc.

Pyramid schemes are illegal and seek to make money from their representatives. In contrast, legitimate direct selling companies seek to make money with you their distributors, partnering in a business that sells real products and services to customers. In fact, legitimate direct selling companies work hard to protect consumers from pyramid schemes.

The most important aspect is the availability of the products. A proper compensation plan must be clearly documented. Commission is paid based on selling products and not because of service rendered.

Do your research before choosing the right and legitimate company. It will probably help you to kick start your network marketing business the right way. Imagine if you jump into the river without knowing how deep it is? At least, you have make the right move by doing your research.

Choosing the right direct selling company for your network marketing business is one of the important aspects. Apart from choosing a large MNC company with excellent products and good compensation plan, the company must have values and caring for society.

There are many companies out there who fall in this category and it’s up to you to do a research on its background and select the one that you preferred. Do remember to choose the one that you are passionate especially about the products, or services that they provided.

Do look for the company that have good value and culture of helping the needy. I love the companies that I’ve chosen to be the platform of my network marketing business. They provide me with the opportunity to help charitable organizations. It so happened that these companies are helping the Feed the Children Organization that is based in US. I’m happy to be apart of it.

Locally, through this company, I personally sponsored a child so that he can attend a pre school. Yesterday was the first time I met him as the company organized a get together for them to meet their sponsor. It was a wonderful occasion as when I sponsored him, I was only given the name and bio data excluding the photo. So, it was a happy moment for me and my wife to meet him. My wife was so happy even though we already have four children of our own. This is a video taken of him.  Isn’t he cute?

To Believe or Not

Do not bother about incoming problems. Why? Because the more you think about negativity, the more obstacles you are going to face.

As a net.work marketer, you must have a long term mindset for the business. Believe in what you are doing. You must be very clear of what you want.

Don’t get too concern on obstacles. Just do it and the solution to what you’re facing will be solved. Do not let anything bothering you. Break the boundaries with a strong determination. Motivate yourself and the barrier will just open-up.

Open your heart, believing in your business will break the unlimited boundaries. Remember, only a few people will survive unless they focus on the objectives. The secret is to believe in what you are doing and just do it. The opportunity is yours.
