I’m back with another chapter!

Filed in: General, Network Marketing | by pactrex on 06-30-10

The month of June 2010 has been a tremendous journey for me.

I’ve managed to complete most of the goals that has been planned such as going for my outdoor adventure trip, spending time with my love ones – my wife who has been very supportive all this while, and my children; especially my youngest son and my only daughter.  Even though I have to juggle with my training schedule, I was actually having fun doing it as long as I achieved my goals!

Since returning from my mountain expedition in West Malaysia, I’ve managed to conduct a weekly trekking cum nature walk. Next month, I’m going to “recce” 2 mountains in Selangor – again in Malaysia – if God willing.

However, the most important tasks that I’ve managed to succeed were tweaking, redesigning and redevelop some websites that has been shelved for quite a while. I’m into my final stages of testing the websites before I’m going to share it with others. Since I’m into technology and application training, I feel that it’s about time for me to share the experience, tricks and tips about them.

Lastly, watch out for more articles and sharing from me. It’s going to be packed with live experience that I’ve been through daily, as a Network Marketer, an IT Application Trainer and an outdoor enthusiast. I dream, explored and experience it for the purpose of sharing and as a personal gift in changing life!

The Divided Mindset of the Rich & Poor

Filed in: Book Review, Motivation, Network Marketing, Personal Development, Success Stories | by pactrex on 05-12-10

I’ve read many books during my free time. When I was introduced into network marketing more than 8 years ago, one of the books that I was presented with was “Parable of the Pipelines” by Burke Hedges. It was simply a good book that was easily understood. This is a summary of the book.

Two ambitious young men, Bruno and Pablo, who were “big” dreamers lived in a small village. They dream to become the richest person in the village. Both of them were hardworking and always have bright ideas. What they needed was an opportunity to realize their dreams.

One day the awaited opportunity came to them. The villagers decided to hire them to carry water from the nearby river to the village cistern. They accepted the job and started the work immediately. Both of them carry their buckets and headed to the river.  At the end of the first day at work, they had filled the village cistern to the brim. The village elder paid them a penny for each bucket of water transported.

“We are going to be rich if we continue to do this everyday! God had fulfill our dream!” shouted Bruno. But Pablo was not very sure of this as his body was aching from carrying the heavy buckets. In fact, he dreaded himself from bed the next day to continue carrying the buckets of water. Pablo vowed to find a better solution to solve the misery. He proposed to Bruno that they should built a pipeline from the river to the village. However, his idea was rejected by Bruno.

Bruno carried 100 buckets of water a day and was soon became a rich man. He bought a new house for himself. The villagers cheered for him for his hard work. On the other hand, Pablo only work half a day carrying buckets of water and spend the other half of the day and the weekends building his pipeline. Pablo had to work long hours but his earning was not as good as Bruno. The villagers mocked him and even called him “Pablo the pipeline man”. But Pablo had a dream that would help him in the future. He kept reminding himself that short-term pain equaled to long-term gain. He had to achieve his goal in building the pipeline.

Days turned into months, Pablo realized that his pipeline was almost completed. One day as he sat under a tree to take his rest, he watched his friend Bruno lugging buckets of water. Bruno was not the same person that he knew. Bruno was in pain whenever he carried the buckets; his steps slowed down as days passes by; he was an angry man and sullen, to the fact that he was doomed to carry buckets, day in day out, for the rest of his life, just to be “rich”.

Finally, Pablo’s big day arrived! The pipeline was completed! Pablo need not have to carry buckets anymore. The water from the river flowed throughout whether he worked or not; it flowed while he ate, slept! The more water flowed to the village, more and more money flowed into his pockets. The villagers lauded Pablo for his vision.

However, Pablo realized that what he had accomplished was merely a fraction of a big, big dream. He had the skills and methods to build pipelines and by working with his friend, Bruno, they could build pipelines to supply water to more villages.

Pablo came to see Bruno. He shared his plan with him… A dream to build pipelines all over the world!

What do you think?

What is Success to me?

Filed in: General, Personal Development, success | by pactrex on 05-09-10

Being successful in life is everyone desire. To each individual, success is defined according to what they need and perceived. In general, success means the favourable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavours. It could also means the attainment of wealth, position, honours, etc. There is no specific defination as it goes along with the persons needs or desires.

Success is something that can make an impact to an individual lifestyle. Whether the objective is to lead a good life in having a financial freedom or the like; one should not forget the reason why they are actually born into this world. In other words, we should not forget our faith, the Creator of the Universe, etc.

Success to me is something that can give me the satisfaction in life without compromising my faith. Everyone of us cannot run away from having to face problems in life; whether they are good, bad, challenging, etc, it’s how we look at it. Building confidence and believes are one of the cores towards success. It is how high you can bounce back when you are hit bottom!

Being able to touch people life and get them to live their lifestyle is always my way in gearing up towards success. Sharing opportunities, knowledge, experience with others will make us feel good.

Lastly, to lead a healthy lifestyle with time and financial freedom for my family and friends are what I’m looking forward. By having all this, I can have more time for the Creator!

* To me without family support, success can no where to be found. To my dear wife, you are one of my inspirations (the Creator comes first, no doubt about it), in gearing me up towards success! Happy Mother’s Day to you, I love you always dear.
